I met Katie a few years ago, while working at The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens and hosting her solo show , Open Door, in February 2018. She had created an online invitation with Pete Townshend's song "Let My Love Open the Door" embedded in the graphic, a nod to Valentine's Day and to her lyrical abstract works that graced the gray felt walls at The Park. I am reminded of this song and her lovely energy that she brought to the entire community having this mid-winter show that hosted various events such as a children's Valentine's Day workshop, lectures for local high school art students, and a warm reception on a cold winter's night.

Katie is one of the hardest working artists I have met so far. During my recent studio tour, she was in constant graceful motion while talking and hanging many of her serene paintings. After spending 12 years on Wall Street, Katie is the perfect blend of an intelligent business woman and a sophisticated prolific painter. I always enjoy our conversations where Katie shares with me her latest favorite art apps and marketing strategies while showing me her endless new projects, commissions and beautifully composed canvases. Her dynamic energy is as light and spiritual as her abstract works of art which play off the atmosphere of her incredible studio.

Katie has developed a strong commission business over the past several years, focusing on custom abstracts as well as portraiture and nudes. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the world.
